CRFU – Rugby Park

The contract involved the refurbishment of the existing changing rooms, gymnasium, players recreation room and the construction of a new physiotherapy room. Structural work was kept to a minimum with optimum use of the available space, transformed from a run down facility into a bright and functional space.

 

Orica

The conversion of an existing Dangerous Goods store into an office and retail shop for Orica Powdercoaters

 

 

 

Bushnells have successfully completed a range of design build contracts, from office fitouts to large scale industrial developments using our own well developed project planning and management processes. We have a ‘no surprises’ philosophy and aim. We pride ourselves on good levels of communication with the entire project team to meet this aim.

 

 

We provide a seamless service from initial design proposals and project costing, obtaining all Consents, Construction and Code Compliance certification at completion. This process reduces Client costs. Design Build ensures that the client and builder work together to achieve a completed project , designed to the clients requirements and built within a required timeframe and within the clients budget.

 

 

We employ the construction consultants, managing and simplifying the design development and construction process. This provides significantly greater flexibility in design and improves the ‘buildability’ of the project. This results in cost savings to the client through simplifying design and the time to complete construction. In addition, input from Bushnells during the Design phase ensures a good understanding of the project and allows construction to commence earlier as the lead time during the Design process is reduced.

 

 

A key benefit of our approach to design build is that Clients can have as much or as little input into this process as they desire.

 

 

Bushnells have the ability to assist with the selection of independent consultants to undertake design work.

 

 

A good relationship between the Builder and Client are vital. Bushnells strives to understand the Clients expectations to ensure that we meet or exceed those expectations.

 

 

Gough Gough and Hamer

The contract involved the following components:
• New 850m2 branch office extension and extensive siteworks.
• Refurbishment of the existing parts retail store and merchandising.
• Refurbishment of the existing Head Office. This involved the complete stripping out of the existing and a full refit including all services. This refurbishment was staged to allow the Client to continue part occupation and the co-operation between Bushnells and the Client resulted in minimal disruption.
• New Truck Lubrication Bay capable of servicing fully laden LPG tankers, one of very few such facilities in the South Island.

 

Visypak

After undertaking various small jobs for Visypak Bushnells were approached to Design and Build an 860m2 extension to their existing building. Due to some smart engineering piles were not required reducing the overall cost substantially.

Dux De Lux

Complete stripping out and refurbishment of the kitchen to one of Christchurchs busiest and most successful restaurants. All work was completed within 6 weeks.
