A new Toilet Block to cater for this very busy summer seaside location.

 

Kyle Park Underpass

The construction of a Pedestrian Underpass under as existing main rail route. It was necessary to keep the rail route open during construction with only a 12 hour window of opportunity between rail movements. A challenging and demanding civil contract made more difficult by the presence of overhead cables and underground fibre-optic cables. On award of the contract Bushnells redesigned the precast units to assist build ability. This was very successful.

Microsoft Project is utilized to manage the programming of our projects and work on site and at project meetings is regularly monitored against the programme to ensure timely completion. On completion of our contracts, we take responsibility for obtaining Code Compliance Certification.

 


We have good relationships with a wide range of subcontractors resulting in competitive quotations for subcontract work and maximise subcontractor performance on site to ensure a high quality product that is delivered on time.

 

Villa Maria College – Performing Arts Centre

A new Performing Arts center for Villa Maria college. This was a tight site with restricted access. The project involved significant architectural detailing and a high degree of finish. Completion was on time and within budget with minimal disruption to the school.

On the Beach Restaurant

Bushnells undertook the re-construction of the Sumner landmark in Christchurch. The building is founded on marine grade piles with extensive use of stainless steel fixings and is designed to last. This was an exciting project to be involved in.

 

St Stephens Church Lincoln

At contract commencement this Mountford designed Church was in an advanced state of dilapidation and had been scheduled for demolition prior to the discovery that it has a Heritage listing. The Building was replied, a new organ pit fitted and the church transept was extended at both ends. A challenging yet rewarding contract.

 

St Andrews Prep School

A new Library and Arts Centre. Attention to detail was critical in this well designed facility.

St Bedes Gym

This Christchurch Building is an impressive open span structure with precast panels up to 35 tonne. Bushnells have also undertaken the Performing Arts Facility at St Bedes College.
